Attend Debt-Free

Want to attend college for free? Here is how.

Tuition and fees for Cambria County residents equals $6,990 (based on two semesters totaling 30 credits). Eligible students can receive a Federal Pell Grant of up to $7,395 and a PA State Grant of up to $2,752, totaling $10,147. This represents a $3,157 advantage for the student.

Penn Highlands may very well be the answer to the question of: “How can I get a college education without going into debt?”

Our tuition and fees are among the lowest available throughout the region. Many of our students cover the costs with some federal and state gift aid, part-time jobs, and only a modest amount of student loans. Penn Highlands also has several scholarship opportunities available, and many of these are need-based rather than academic-based.

For help with applying for federal and state financial aid packages, contact Financial Aid at 814.262.6454.

We also have the KEYS Program, which is designed to help people currently receiving SNAP or TANF benefits attend and succeed in community college. KEYS provides additional support and services through the appropriate County Assistance Office, such as childcare, transportation, books, and more. Click here for details.
