Transfer Students

  • Mid-Year Transfer

If you are transferring to Pennsylvania Highlands Community College in the middle of an academic year (i.e. after the Fall term), you need to complete the following steps to ensure your financial aid will be in place for the Spring term:

    • Be accepted to Pennsylvania Highlands in an eligible program as a degree seeking student.
    • File a FAFSA
    • If you have already filed a FAFSA at your present school, you need to add Pennsylvania Highlands Community College (School Code: 031804) to your FAFSA. This can be done online by clicking here.
    • For PA State Grant recipients, log into your pheaa.org account and update your school information for the Spring Semester. Contact PHEAA at 1-800-692-7392 to change the school that is listed to receive your state grant information.
    • Provide the Registrar’s Office with a copy of your most recent transcript from all previous schools.
    • Be sure to notify your current school that you will not be returning so they can cancel any future Financial Aid pending.

It is important to note for Stafford Loan funding, the number of credits that Pennsylvania Highlands Community College has accepted as transfer credits will be used to determine your grade level, not the number of credits you have completed at your previous school.

  • End of Academic Year Transfer

If you are planning to transfer to Pennsylvania Highlands Community College for the next academic year, you must complete the following steps:

    • Be accepted to Pennsylvania Highlands in an eligible program as a degree seeking student.
    • File a FAFSA and list Pennsylvania Highlands Community College (School Code 031804). All students are encouraged to complete the FAFSA by Pennsylvania Highlands Community College’s financial aid priority deadline of April 1 to ensure full consideration and to complete all necessary financial aid steps prior to the upcoming year’s tuition due date.
    • Provide the Registrar’s Office with a copy of your most recent transcript from all previous schools.
  • Transfer from Pennsylvania Highlands Community College

If you are transferring from Pennsylvania Highlands Community College to another school you will need to list that school on your FAFSA application. You also need to contact the Financial Aid Office at the school you are transferring to. It is important to be aware of any additional forms and deadlines that school may require.

    • Contact Financial Aid Office at the school you are transferring to.
    • Update FAFSA with school you are transferring to.
    • Contact the Pennsylvania Highlands Financial Aid Office so we can cancel your future aid.
