Canine Massage Workshop

Learn simple massage techniques to use on your dogs at home. Whether your dog is older and starting to slow down or an active youngster, all dogs can benefit from massage to relax strained muscles, ease the discomfort of arthritis, and provide a bonding experience between dog and owner. Live dogs will be provided to practice on. Please leave your dogs at home, but bring your questions and enthusiasm to learn!

Exploring Animal Behavior

This class focuses on the normal and sometimes quirky behaviors of dogs and cats, and abnormal behaviors that require professional intervention. Explore what is normal and abnormal behavior for your pet. Topics covered include the dominance myth, puppy and kitten housetraining, pets and children, socialization, dog-to-dog relations, positive-reinforcement training, fear and aggression, pet aging, euthanasia, and more. Please NO pets!

Pet First Aid/CPR

Knowing the lifesaving skills and techniques of pet first aid is a very important part of being a caring pet owner or caretaker. You will learn restraining an ill or injured pet, pet CPR, rescue breathing, the ABC’s of pet first aid, choking management, bleeding protocols, poisoning, pet wellness assessment, and more!
