Alzheimer’s: Resources for Caregivers

Pennsylvania Highlands Community College, in partnership with the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America, presents a workshop intended to arm caregivers with tips and strategies to help facilitate meaningful living for both the caregiver and the individual living with dementia throughout their journey. Yoga for All of Us

Yoga can be accessed by anyone, no matter your physical abilities, religious beliefs, or situation in life. This introduction to Yoga includes the basics of yoga philosophy, asana (movements and postures), and meditation techniques that fit YOU. This class provides the perfect place to start if you have never attended a class, and helps to explore the beginnings of what yoga is to you on and off the mat. Taught by Heidi Niebauer, owner of Sunny Side Up Yoga. Note: The Yamas & Niyamas: Exploring Yoga’s Ethical Practice Book by Deborah Adele is recommended, but not required.
