Head Women’s Volleyball Coach (Richland)

Location: Richland Campus

Full or Part Time: Part-Time

Hours:

  • In-Season: 10 – 15 hours per week.
  • Off-Season: 2 – 5 hours per week.

Wage: $4,000 annual stipend paid out over 12 months.

Job Scope

The Head Coach, Women’s Volleyball is directly responsible for the organization and direction of a NJCAA, Division III Women’s Volleyball program. This position is also responsible for the organization and coordination of all team fundraising activities.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  1. Recruit qualified student athletes as defined by the National Junior College Athletic Association.
  2. Ensure that all WPCC guidelines and NJCAA regulations regarding eligibility and participation are maintained.
  3. Manage/coach all pre- and post-season conditioning, practices, and contests.
  4. Ensure that practice/contest facilities are prepared for use according to established procedures.
  5. Assist with maintaining an inventory of uniforms and equipment.
  6. Assist with the scheduling of pre-season and regular games.
  7. Organize and coordinate all team fundraising activities.
  8. Other duties as assigned by the Director of Student Activities & Athletics.
  9. Ability and endurance necessary to work the hours needed to complete the job.
  10. Attendance at all mandatory meetings.
  11. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • High school diploma or GED required.

Experience & Knowledge:

  • Two years’ experience in playing or coaching volleyball required with knowledge of the rules and strategies of volleyball.
  • Ability to motivate and coach a team for competitive sports.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Computer Skills:

  • Ability to use Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel).

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

  • Criminal Background Clearance.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Physical Demands:
