To support continued growth and a reputation for providing quality, affordable educational programs and services to residents of Cambria County and the Southern Alleghenies, Pennsylvania Highlands Community College is seeking a qualified Adjunct Computer Technology Instructor to teach in associate degree program areas.
The College especially invites applications from candidates with expertise in current and emerging issues within the discipline, experience in the development and delivery of on-line or blended courses, and candidates who are available to teach daytime, weekend, or off-site classes.
The mission of Pennsylvania Highlands Community College is to provide “students with affordable opportunities to gain the knowledge and skills they need to be successful in their work, in their day-to-day lives, and in their pursuit of life-long learning in a supportive, student-oriented environment.” The College seeks to accomplish this mission through the delivery of career-oriented and transfer degree programs, business and industry training, and community education.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field of study. Additional requirements include a successful demonstration lesson or evidence of successful teaching and the ability to relate well to students and others in the College environment.
Candidates will be expected to teach Microcomputer Applications, Local Area Networks, and/or Windows Enterprise Desktop Operations.
Preference will be given to candidates with applied, discipline-based experience and the ability to advance student understanding and use of current and emerging technologies in a competitive global environment.
Certifications may include: Security+, Network+, Linux+
