  • Dancing with a Partner, Beginner

    Designed for couples, this course emphasizes how to move with each other on the dance floor, providing basic patterns and an introduction to the most popular types of dances. Learn lead and follow techniques and what to listen for to determine which dance type goes with the music. The pace of learning moves along, but review is done regarding the previous material learned. You should wear shoes that have a back for the heel and the sole should allow you to slide, such as a leather sole.

  • Dancing with a Partner, Level II

    Take your dancing skills to the next level as you build on the patterns and steps learned in the Dancing with a Partner (Beginner) course. You should wear shoes that have a back for the heel and the sole should allow you to slide, such as a leather sole. Prerequisite: Dancing with a Partner, Beginner or Pre-Bronze American Style Smooth Dancing.

  • East Coast & West Coast Swing (American Style)

    This is a beginner’s course teaching patterns, lead and follow techniques, and style for East Coast Swing and West Coast Swing. Although the dances are related, they are different when it comes to the tempo of the music and style. East Coast Swing is the go to and most popular style of dance for upbeat music and moves in more of a circular pattern. West Coast Swing is performed in slower more sultry swing music and is danced more in a slot. You should wear shoes that have a back for the heel and the sole should allow you to slide, such as a leather sole.

    Although the dances are related, East Coast & West Coast Swing are different when it comes to the tempo of the music and style.   • Foxtrot and Waltz, Beginner

    Although an introduction Foxtrot and Waltz are included in Dancing with a Partner, this course concentrates on these two dances allowing the couple to gain more confidence in leaning the dance along with adding several more patterns. More patterns enable the couple to move with greater agility around the dance floor. Foxtrot and Waltz are often referred to as the elegant dances. A wonderful bonus to learning these two dances is that you will learn how to apply the patterns with a change of rhythm to enjoy dancing to slow music. You should wear shoes that have a back for the heel and the sole should allow you to slide, such as a leather sole.

  • Hustle, Beginner

    If you want to dance to rap or modern music that has a strong driving beat, this is the dance for you. Hustle came out of disco from the 70’s. It is a partner dance in which both partners dance in a slot while eventually adding traveling patterns. Hustle lends itself well to dancing on a crowded floor. The rhythmic foot pattern is applied to all the introductory patterns, making it easier to learn. You should wear shoes that have a back for the heel and the sole should allow you to slide, such as a leather sole.
