FlexLearning: Weekend, Evening, & Online

Are you looking for the small campus experience with the convenience of flexible class schedules that allow you to balance life, work, family, and education? Pennsylvania Highlands Community College recognizes this challenge and has created FlexLearning options. You shouldn’t have to sacrifice one over the other, and this is why we are offering programming and courses that fit your diverse lifestyle. Taking the courses to advance your education has never been easier with weekend, evening, and online courses.

Below are the types of courses that are available through FlexLearning. To see a detailed list of course schedules and times, click here to access the myPEAK portal.


Weekend Courses

Liberal Arts & Sciences (30-credit transfer framework)

Take general education courses that allow you to transfer up to 30 credits to any participating college or university in Pennsylvania. These courses will count towards your Liberal Arts & Sciences A.A. degree at Penn Highlands or a bachelor's degree at a participating four-year college or university. Taking these courses with Penn Highlands will save you thousands of dollars per year over other institutions. 

Architectural Technology (Certificate)

Earn the credits you need to become a confident professional that works with architects and other building professionals to properly design and draw structures using today's computer technology.  

Civil Technology (Certificate)

Earn the credits you need to become a confident professional working with engineers and surveyors in to create building drawings and other key graphical elements. 

Pharmacy Technician (Certificate)

Earn the credits you need to become a qualified pharmacy technician and be confident in providing assistance to Registered Pharmacists through a variety of tasks.


Evening Courses

Business Management (Associate of Applied Science)

Get ready to start your own business and become the successful entrepreneur you always wanted to be. These courses prepare you for the ins and outs of running a business, from developing strong leadership skills to understanding the theories and concepts necessary to keep a business running.

Welding Technology (Associate of Applied Science)

Prepare to enter the workforce quickly as a confident welder. You will learn the basics and will be prepared for rapid advancement in shop planning, inspection, supervision, and more.
