Distance Education courses offer students the opportunity to earn college credit from anywhere with internet access.
Online learning is learner-driven, internet-based instruction delivered through the e-Racer online course system. Online learning is ideal for students with work obligations, family obligations, travel constraints, or time/schedule conflicts.
Most online courses involve reading documents posted online, taking online tests/quizzes, posting to message boards and completing other activities as decided by instructors. Over the semester assignments are posted which must be completed by set due dates. Students work online to complete assignments while maintaining contact with instructors through email.
Students considering online classes should be aware that online learning will require basic computer skills. Take the new Online Readiness Quiz to assess if you have the skills necessary to do well in an online course. Click here to take the Online Readiness Quiz.
