Zaborowski Earns Doctorate

Pennsylvania Highlands Community College is pleased to announce that Barbara Zaborowski earned a PhD in Information Science from the University of Pittsburgh on April 18, 2008 for her research on the information-seeking behaviors of students in select Pennsylvania community colleges.

Dr. Zaborowski has also earned a Bachelor of Arts in English Writing and Masters Degree in Library Science from the University of Pittsburgh. Dr. Zaborowski is presently serving as the Chair of the Southwest Chapter of the Pennsylvania Library Association and the Pennsylvania Community College Library Consortium. In 2007, she was awarded the Gateway to Equity Award by the Johnstown Branch of the American Association of University Women.

Dr. Zaborowski is currently employed by Pennsylvania Highlands Community College as the Associate Dean for Library and Academic Affairs and Special Assistant to the President. She lives in Westmont with her husband, Greg
