Pennsylvania Highlands Community College is proud to announced that three students were recognized at a ceremony held in the Capitol Rotunda in Harrisburg, Pa. The ceremony, co-sponsored by Pennsylvania House Majority Leader Todd Eachus and Representative Dennis O’Brien, focused on the successes of the students who participate
in the Keystone Education Yields Success (KEYS) Program. The following were recognized for their hard work and achievements at Pennsylvania Highlands:
Stephanie Link graduated magna cum laude in December, 2009, with a Medical Coding Specialists diploma. While at Pennsylvania Highlands, Stephanie was consistently on
the Dean’s List and a member of the Phi Theta Kappa National Honor Society.
Stephanie Yacobacci was enrolled in the Business Management Associate Degree program. Stephanie’s hard work landed her on the Dean’s List while attending Pennsylvania Highlands. Following her time at Pennsylvania Highlands Community College, she transferred to California University of Pennsylvania where she is actively enrolled in
their bachelor’s degree program for Business Management.
Chanette Toney is currently enrolled in Pennsylvania Highlands where she is working toward an Associate’s Degree in Early Childcare and Development. Chanette manages
to stay on the Dean’s List while working twenty-five hours a week. She continues to maintain a GPA above 3.5.
Keystone Education Yields Success (KEYS) is a program of the PA Bureau of Employment and Training Programs offered in collaboration with the Pennsylvania Commission for Community Colleges and each of the state’s 14 community colleges. The KEYS program provides career counseling, tutoring, and academic support for eligible students.
