Tutoring

Tutoring services are available to all PHCC students for FREE. Tutoring occurs in two ways, face-to-face and online
Tutors can be current PHCC students or professional tutors.

Face-to-Face Tutoring

Face-to-Face tutoring will be provided for students in English and mathematics classes.

Students requiring tutoring in other classes will provided a tutor, if and when, they become available.

Students who take advantage of tutoring services are responsible for communicating with their tutor if they are unable to attend a session. Failure to attend sessions will be cause for tutoring services to be canceled.

Tutor sessions should be limited to no more than three hours per week.

Smarthinking allows students to take advantage of a tutor on an as-needed basis, schedule a tutoring session, and submit writing samples to be edited.

Smarthinking is available for advanced classes such as Physics, Chemistry, Anatomy & Physiology, and Calculus.
