Cambria County is the second largest producer of potatoes in the State of Pennsylvania.

Thirteen percent of the population in Cambria County claims Irish descent.

Pennsylvania only sent two regiments to fight in the Mexican War (1st and 2nd PA volunteers) and that the 2nd was comprised of two units from Cambria County (Cambria Guards and the American Highlanders.)
