Pennsylvania Highlands Inaugurates Fourth President

Pennsylvania Highlands Community College had a historic day on Friday, March 28th, 2008 when we inaugurated our fourth president, Dr. Walter J. Asonevich.

Dr. Asonevich came to us from Corning Community College in Corning, New York, where he was the Vice President and Dean of Academic Affairs. While at Corning, he refined the program review process, guided the faculty to a SUNY-approved general education assessment plan and an overall academic assessment plan, revamped the process for faculty promotion and tenure, and successfully led the College to a new governance structure. Dr. Asonevich also engaged in developing marketable programming for non-traditional students to better meet the changing economic environment.
