Each graduate receives 5 guest tickets. Graduates only receive guest tickets after providing student ID and proof of purchase of regalia. If a graduate requires handicap tickets, please contact Student Activities to make sure you have the proper ticket(s). Handicap tickets are green. If a child will sit in a seat, the child will need a ticket.
For extra tickets, a lottery is held in early May to determine distribution.
For those that do not have tickets, they will be able to spend the morning with you on campus. When the ceremony begins, they will be directed to the live streaming areas on campus. These areas are great locations for children to watch the ceremony.
All gowns have been distributed to graduates. All graduates should have a gown, hat, and tassel. Graduates will keep their regalia. Graduates are asked to wear business casual to professional clothing and shoes. If wearing heels, graduates are asked to make sure they can walk comfortably and travel up and down stairs.
Honors are based on the GPA a graduate had earned by the end of the last semester. It must be a cumulative 3.5 or higher (throughout time at Penn Highlands). Honor cords are awarded to graduates at the Student Recognition Ceremony held in April.
