Head Women's Volleyball Coach, Part-Time
The Head Coach, Women’s Volleyball reports to the Director of Student Activities and is directly responsible for the organization and direction of a NJCAA, Division III Women’s Volleyball program. This position is also responsible for the organization and coordination of all team fundraising activities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include (other duties may be assigned):
- Recruit qualified student athletes as defined by the National Junior College Athletic Association.
- Ensure that all WPCC guidelines and NJCAA regulations regarding eligibility and participation are maintained.
- Manage/coach all pre- and post-season conditioning, practices, and contests.
- Ensure that practice/contest facilities are prepared for use according to established procedures.
- Assist with maintaining an inventory of uniforms and equipment.
- Assist with the scheduling of pre-season and regular games.
- Organize and coordinate all team fundraising activities.
- Other duties as assigned by the Director of Student Activities.
- Ability and endurance necessary to work the hours needed to complete the job.
- Attendance at all mandatory meetings.
- Regular attendance.

Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree required with at least two years experience in collegiate play or coaching.
Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills: Basic Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills: Ability to use Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel)
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Criminal Background Clearance. Valid Driver’s License.
Other Qualifications: Knowledge of the rules and strategies of Volleyball. Ability to motivate and coach a team for competitive sports.

Will regularly need to speak, hear, listen, reach, run, walk and jump. Will need to lift and move equipment necessary for the sport.

The work environment will vary from moderate noise to greater noise levels while in gymnasiums playing games or practicing. Temperatures may vary.
