Country: East Coast & West Coast Swing

As the tempo speeds up, Country dancers use Country East Coast Swing to enjoy dancing to the music. As the tempo slows down, but the music has a sultry flow to it, the dancers switch to West Coast Swing. In many ways, these two Country dances mirror the American patterns and style for both Swing Dances. However, more advanced patterns take on a different look compared to American style. Couples will learn patterns and lead and follow techniques. You should wear shoes which have a back for the heel and the sole should allow you to slide, such as a leather sole.

Country: Two Step & Waltz

Country music, sometimes referred to as Country/Western Music has been an iconic sound in American music. Country Two Step is often called the Texas Two Step. Although similar, there are some differences. We will concentrate on Country Two Step. Country Two Step and Waltz are danced both competitively and socially. Both dances move around the floor counter clockwise. Couples will learn patterns, lead and follow techniques, and how to maneuver around the floor. You should wear shoes that have a back for the heel and the sole should allow you to slide, such as a leather sole.
