Eligibility

Returning eligible students are notified via their College email and referred to myPEAK for award listings.  Students not enrolled are notified of aid eligibility by mail. For students enrolling for the fall semester, packaging and award notifications typically begin April 1, the Financial Aid Office Priority Deadline.  For students not enrolled for fall and are attending the spring semester, notifications generally are sent in early November.  Eligible students receive notification outlining awards being offered, and terms and conditions of the awards. Most awards are based upon financial need, and eligible students generally are awarded a combination of types of awards, referred to as a "financial aid package." This "package" is usually comprised of grant/scholarship, loan, and work-study opportunities. Non-eligible students are notified regarding ineligibility for aid and if applicable, the process for appeal. 

A sample cost of attendance budget, used for financial aid purposes during 2012-2013, for a full-time, in-county commuter student living with parents, is listed below:

  • Tuition and Fees: $4,360
  • Books and Supplies: $1,200
  • Transportation: $1,000
