| Hello and thanks for visiting! As Vice President and Dean of Academic Affairs, it is my privilege to lead the College’s Academic Affairs Division working with more than 150 talented faculty and staff at our Richland Campus and at educational sites and locations across the Southern Alleghenies to serve the region’s education and training needs. We do so with a strong commitment to the College’s Mission, Vision, and Core Values.
Every day when we come to work, our sincere desire is that we can help students “Climb Higher” by developing the knowledge, skills, and attitudes that will transform their lives – and the lives of their families and their communities – for the better. In doing so, we commit to maintaining high standards and expectations for our students and for ourselves. We also approach our work with compassion, accepting people for who they are, for the unique ways in which they learn, and for their real and potential contributions to the College’s learning environment.
Administrative Assistant, Penny Stevens, and I invite you to stop in to introduce yourself and let us know how you are doing. Whether your classes are traditional face-to-face, on-line, or a combination of the two, we trust that your experiences at Penn Highlands will bring GREAT things. We look forward to meeting you, to assisting you, and to learning of your accomplishments!
Sincerely,

Edward C. (Ted) Nichols, Ph.D.
